  • Beschreibung: The film is set in Lamia in 1942. After executing a mission of sabotage against the German occupiers, a Greek-Australian reserve officer named Nikolas Barmpas, who has come to Greece from the Middle East, takes refuge in Marina Choleva’s house, where she hides him in the attic. The two young people fall in love and get married, but Nikolas is forced to leave for Cairo. While the Germans are looking for him, they arrest Marina who is blinded and suffers a premature delivery because of the tortures she endures. After liberation, Marina goes to Athens, where she works at her best man’s night club and continues to look for her husband. He is now a doctor and works at an institute for young children where he meets a girl of whom he grows very fond. The little girl happens to be his daughter. Later, he manages to track down Marina as well.
